NBA
Hall of Famer, Dennis Rodman shocked the world when he stated publicly about
wanting to marry himself. You may be thinking to yourself, “He married himself?
How? IS that possible?” Below is one of the pictures from his wedding day of
him wearing a white gown long weave, holding a bouquet of flowers. People
already believed something was wrong with him mentally for his bizarre behavior
on and off the court, but this was jaw dropping. Some began to claim him as
really being the first woman to play in the NBA which would mean he pretended
to be a man. Although this would be logical based on his erratic personality
and emotions, but by the United States law he is listed as man. In a society of
heterosexuals where homosexuals are just recently barely being accepted by the
public, imagine the chaos that will accumulate if cases of asexuality arise. A
poet from Michigan wrote a poem on Dating Yourself and
performed on it on the Def Jam Poetry Tour. Being your own soul mate is
something that many people never really think about. You may ask yourself “How
can one be fully a woman and fully a man in the same body. How do you identify
the individual that is both genders?” They cannot possibly be the man in a
relationship opening the door to the restaurant and then be the woman taking
her purse to the restroom to put on their make-up. Having split personalities
is one extreme, but being a couple by yourself is something totally different.
In class we discussed the certain roles society places on males and females. In
our identity lecture we discussed the biological genes and physiological
differences that make separates us from each other. Is it possible to combine
these differences to have everything the same? What is being a woman or man?
How does one categorize man from woman? This are questions that make wonder who
we really are. This comic relief video is about how story about how men and women think differently. G Gordy Liddy tells a story about how a man and a woman seeing each other for six months thinks the relationship is going.Dating after six months. One of his main points is that woman are usually more emotional than men. They are very self-conscious and believe every idea is related to another. Women are very sensitive and are deep thinkers. If you listen carefully you will here the example of the women thinks the change of his facial expression during silence is due to him thinking about leaving her. She is concerned about what if she is wasting his time and if he wants to be with her. The man on the hand is thinking about the keeping up of his car. His is confused on why she has become the woman has become so emotional and if he has done anything wrong. Dealing with woman, what a bundle of joy. A man can never fully understand them until he is one of them.
Wives have cosmetic bags heavier than the flat screen TVs their husbands watch Sunday's football games. If you compare the average woman's closet with the average man's you will see a hanger ratio of almost 50:5. Lets now combine the man and woman into one. You have a wo(man) who has dozens of lotions and scents but on Sunday afternoon is yelling at Tom Brady for throwing an incompletion. The same person who is braiding the little girls' hair at the local beauty shop gossiping about Mary's ex-husband is also cutting the little boys' hair at the barbershop debating is Lebron better than Jordan. When the woman becomes randomly emotional, the man already knows exactly what is wrong, and what needs to be done to cheer her up. There was a recent blockbuster called Think Like a Man where woman tried to be the "Man" in the relationship. Attempting to figure out how men always seem to have life easier than woman they followed advice from a book written by Steve Harvey. Likewise, the men wanted to think like woman to understand them more. A perfect relationship would be where thinking between the couple is cohesive, and not classified with which gender you are. There was not emotional woman or heartless men, but hear and heartless wo(man).
